Hot Buttered Rum

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg, ground
  • 1/16 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon Cloves, ground
  • 8 ounces Water, filtered
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon, ground
  • 1/16 teaspoon Allspice, ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, unsalted
  • 2 tablespoons Lakanto Monkfruit Sweetener, Golden
  • 3 ounces Rum

Directions:

Ingredient Notes: We suggest freshly ground nutmeg and a dark rum for this recipe.
  1. In a small sauce pan, combine the water, butter, sweetener, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and pinch salt. Place over medium heat and bring to a simmer.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the rum and vanilla. Top with a pinch of allspice. Divide evenly between two mugs and enjoy!
